By accessing and using DealScanner ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use DealScanner. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Service and make purchases through linked retailers. By using DealScanner, you represent that you meet these age requirements.

DealScanner is a deals discovery and aggregation platform. We provide:

• A platform for users to submit and share deals they find

Important: DealScanner is not a retailer. We do not sell products, process payments, or fulfill orders. All transactions occur on third-party websites.

• We may earn a commission when you click deals and make purchases on retailer sites
• This includes programs like Amazon Associates, eBay Partner Network, and others
• Affiliate commissions do not increase the price you pay
• Commissions help support DealScanner operations and keep the service free
• Our recommendations and deal rankings are not influenced by affiliate commissions

When you click deals on DealScanner, you are redirected to third-party retailer websites (Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, etc.). Please note:

• DealScanner is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third-party sites
• Your purchases are governed by the retailer's terms of service and return policies
• Payment processing, order fulfillment, and customer service are handled by the retailer
• Disputes about orders, returns, or refunds must be resolved directly with the retailer
• DealScanner has no liability for issues arising from third-party transactions

7. User Accounts

If you create an account on DealScanner:

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate and current information
• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
• You may not share your account with others or create accounts for fraudulent purposes

When submitting deals, comments, or other content to DealScanner, you agree NOT to post:

• Illegal content: Anything that violates laws or promotes illegal activity
• Spam: Repetitive, irrelevant, or promotional content
• False information: Knowingly submitting fake deals or misleading information
• Infringing content: Material that violates copyrights, trademarks, or other IP rights

You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant DealScanner a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use your content on the platform.

• Reject or disable deals that violate these terms or our content guidelines
• Remove expired, misleading, or low-quality deals

• Create derivative works based on DealScanner

You may not:

• Abuse the platform: Spam, flood, or disrupt the Service
• Scrape excessively: Use automated tools to scrape data in ways that harm performance
• Reverse engineer: Attempt to access source code or reverse engineer the platform

• This includes loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service
• Our total liability for any claim related to DealScanner is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (which is $0 for free users)
• We are not liable for issues with third-party retailers, including product quality, delivery, or customer service

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on certain warranties or liabilities, so the above may not fully apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DealScanner, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights (including intellectual property rights)
• Content you submit to the platform

15. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Any reason at our sole discretion

Upon termination, your right to use DealScanner ceases immediately. You may also delete your own account at any time through your profile settings or by contacting support.

16. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of DealScanner will be resolved in the courts located in Ontario, Canada, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of DealScanner after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
